The prestigious Maya Somaiya School of Music & Performing Arts of Somaiya Vidyavihar University, is proud to announce the much-awaited ‘Somaiya Music Festival,’ set to take place on the 19th and 20th of October 2023. This vibrant cultural extravaganza will be held at the Smt. Sakarben Karmshi Somaiya Sabhagriha , located within the beautiful Vidyavihar Campus in Mumbai.
The festival will run from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm on both days and will feature an illustrious lineup of renowned artists. The Festival will be inaugurated by Shri Samir Somaiya, Chancellor of the Somaiya Vidyavihar University. The Chief guest of the grand occasion is Professor V N Rajasekharan Pillai, the Vice Chancellor. Renowned Guru Pt Arun Dravid will grace the event as the Guest of Honour.
On the afternoon of the 19th of October 2023, the festival will commence with an invocation by Smt. Suneeta Gangrade, followed by mesmerising performances by some of the most distinguished and upcoming artists in the realm of Indian classical music (Click on the Artist name to watch live recorded video):

In addition to this enchanting Music Festival, the ‘Somaiya Music Circle’ will offer an array of engaging activities throughout the year. Attendees can look forward to music seminars, where they can gain insight into the world of music with enlightening discussions and presentations by experts. They will also have the opportunity to experience the intimate and soulful renditions of classical music in a ‘Baithak’ setting. Apart from that, attendees can participate in the symposium or the various workshops to refine their musical skills and knowledge.
