The much-anticipated inaugural ceremony of the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Batch 2023-25 was successfully held on Monday 21st August 2023. The prestigious event took place at the Nalanda Auditorium in Vidyavihar Campus, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for the incoming students.
The ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries who added a sense of eminence to the occasion. Dr G T Thampi, Principal of Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, a renowned figure in the field of computer science was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony. His presence resonated with inspiration as he shared valuable insights into the evolving landscape of technology and its impact on various industries.
Mr Amit Nathu Tambe, Project Manager at the EPAM Systems, and who is recognized for his exceptional contributions to the IT sector was the Guest of Honour. His speech highlighted the practical aspects of the MCA program and the alignment of academia with industry demands, motivating the students to strive for excellence.
The ceremony also hosted the Director of the institution, Dr Raman Ramachandran, whose address emphasized the institute’s commitment to nurturing adept computer professionals and fostering a conducive learning environment. Dr Jaya Iyer, Area Chairperson, MCA enlightened the students about the holistic approach to education and the support system available to them throughout their academic journey.
Dr Bharati Wukkadada, the Program Director, shared an insightful overview of the MCA curriculum, focusing on the multidisciplinary approach and experiential learning opportunities that await the students.
