K J Somaiya Institute of Management organised SPRIHA ’23 – Summer Internship Presentation Competition. The multi-level competition witnessed participation in great numbers from top B-schools in India.
The competition encompassed multifaceted selection criteria for in-house students and those belonging to other institutes. K J Somaiya Institute of Management initially shortlisted its students based on the merit of their faculty-assessed presentations. The Students from other institutes were evaluated based on their summer internship report and a two-minute video describing their report in detail to make the selection. SPRIHA included participants from diverse specialisations and focused on testing their learnings and significant contributions to their respective organisations during their internship tenure. Seeing the presenters talk about the projects passionately and enthusiastically was insightful and intriguing.
The Intra-Finals involved seven participants competing against each other to make it to the next round. The round witnessed the presence of illustrious dignitaries and judges – Rucha Harsha Pankaj Trivedi (Team Lead, Accenture Technology), Ruchir Avlani (Founder, Director, R2R Consultants LLP), and Ankit Majethia (Founder, Creative Director, Hangover Media). Rashi Anand emerged as the winner of the Intra-Finals, followed by 1st runner-up Praguni Goel and 2nd runner-up Raj Parikh and Shubhi Gupta.
SPRIHA Inter-Finals, which marked the concluding round of the competition, hosted the following eminent personalities as judges – Vinay Sanil (Vice President, Eviden), Bijal Juvekar (Co-Founder, Exponential Business Services and Svord Lifestyle) and Ashish Maheshwari (CFO, Apollo Healthcare and Lifestyle).
The Inter-Finals showcased a fierce battle among six top B-school participants across India for the top three positions. Rashi Anand from K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Mumbai, emerged as the winner of the competition, followed by Sneha Kelkar from Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai, as the 1st runner-up and Praguni Goel from K J Somaiya Institute of Management, as the 2nd runner-up.
The SPRIHA faculty team at KJSIM headed by the chairperson, Dr Rupali Paranjpe recognised all SPRIHA participants for their diligence and hard work during the Summer Internships.
