The Kaizen Club of SK Somaiya College, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, in partnership with Salt – mysaltapp, organised an educational seminar on July 26, 2023. The conference served as a forum for spreading financial independence knowledge, with a particular emphasis on the younger generation. Her newest project, SALT@mysaltapp, aims to close the gender gap in finance. The event also featured their unique software, SALT Track Save Invest, which provides a wide range of financial services.

Shinjini Kumar, the guest, enlightened the audience on how to leverage existing resources for financial prosperity, emphasizing the difficult journey and its particular nuances. She emphasized the need of recognising one’s abilities. Another focus point was compounding, a crucial life and financial theory. She asked pupils, “What’s the value of a $1,000 per month investment made 20 years ago?” She unlocked the power of compounding by encouraging critical thinking.

The speaker stressed the advantages of investment for growth, stability, emotional well-being, and enjoyment, attributing these benefits to the combination of time and compounding. Her guidance emphasized the importance of starting early and embracing simplicity.

The presentation was followed by an entertaining discussion session in which students excitedly enquired about their entrepreneurial careers and sought advice on how to become entrepreneurs themselves. The SALT app’s numerous features were also demonstrated, providing a practical insight into its capabilities. Monil Kothari’s vote of thanks brought the seminar to a close on a grateful note. The seminar drew a large crowd of students from several disciplines, who all acknowledged the expert’s shared knowledge was both fascinating and beneficial. The event was indisputably successful, thanks to the collaboration of the Kaizen Club of SK Somaiya College and SALT.
