A parallel course, MPA (Swar Vadya), aims at providing students a masterful understanding of instrumental music. This two-year master’s program offers an intricate curriculum that combines Indian classical music’s history, the evolution of Gharana tradition, and advanced ragas. Moreover, students will be familiarized with the aesthetic values that form the core of raga and Hindustani Classical Music.

“This course is a significant addition to the academic repertoire, focusing on in-depth learning and hands-on experience with Indian classical instruments,” Dr. Vyas Said.

Leading Research in Music: Ph.D. in Music

For those aiming to venture into academic research, the school has introduced a Ph.D. in Music. This research-based program is geared toward providing an in-depth understanding of various forms and genres of classical music. It is a structured, time-bound initiative that empowers students to conduct substantive research in their chosen domain, culminating in a doctoral degree in Music.
